The National Council of Ukraine on Television and Radio Broadcasting (state regulatory Television market authority) passed a resolution to issue the license for satellite broadcasting to the TV channel Espreso TV.

Jurimex Associates Ekaterina Nemanikhina and Oksana Yefimchuk, led by Yuriy Krainiak, Managing Partner of Jurimex provided legal support of TV channel in this project.

Since its establishment in 2013, Espreso.TV channel has been claiming its opposition to the political regime. This prevented the channel from receiving the license in Ukraine last year. We assisted the channel with obtaining the satellite license in Latvia last autumn. The Latvian license specified broadcasting of Espreso TV in Ukraine in accordance with the current international treaties. And, at the same time, the information policy of the channel was independent and unavailable for the Ukrainian government. After the political regime change, a new composition of the National Council declared new approaches for regulation of television and radio broadcasting, and it was Espreso.TV which obtained the first license for broadcasting from this new staff” – commented on Yuriy Krainiak, Managing Partner of Jurimex.
