On 9 of April 2014 the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Freedom of Speech and Information within the project of the EU and Council of Europe “Promoting European Standards in the Ukrainian Media Environment” held a workshop, dedicated to “European standards of transfrontier broadcasting services and freedom of receipt and transfer of information in Ukraine”.

Experts of the European Council, representative of the National Council of Ukraine on Television and Radio Broadcasting, State Committee of Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine, National Regulatory Commission in Communication and Informatization, ministries as well as journalists, professional and non-governmental media organizations and media lawyers took part in the discussion.

Yuriy Krainiak, Jurimex Managing Partner took part in the discussion about application of the European Convention on Transfrontier Television in Ukraine, stressing on illegality of “adaptation lists” in Ukraine.
