In June 16, 2014 a conference on "European perspectives of the pay-TV industry of Ukraine" was organized by the Association of owners and content providers and held with the support and involvement of the Jurimex Law Firm.

The conference was attended by representatives of the OSCE, the BRT Concern, cable providers, TV channels, content distributors and others.

Jurimex Law Firm was represented by Oksana Efimchuk with a presentation on legal mechanisms of broadcasting limitation and retransmission of television channels that pose a threat to the national security as well as on prospects for the licensing of online media.

The issue of limitation of the distrubution of content was examined within the limits of the EU law, the European precedents of blocking the broadcasters who promote violence, incite inter-ethnic hatred, and calls for war.

The issue of Internet publications regulation regarding the next legislative initiative of the State Radio Committee was also discussed in the context of practice and legislation of the EU countries.
