Danylo Getmantsev was an expert in the international investment dispute reviewed by the International Center for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID). The case concerns the actions of Ukraine which, according to plaintiffs, led to a loss of investment amounting to tens of millions of dollars.Mr. Getmantsev was involved in the participation in the case at the initiative of the Ukrainian party.During the hearing held in Paris (France) from April, 24 to April, 27 2017, Danylo Getmantsev provided the arbitrators of ICSID with a solid explanation concerning the use of Ukrainian banking, financial and procedural law. For several hours, the expert has been providing the answers to critical issues concerning the various nuances of national law and its correlation with the international norms and principles and a modern legal doctrine. Additionally, Professor Getmantsev presented two written opinions on the issues under consideration in this dispute and briefly explained the main ideas they contain.Professor Danylo Getmantsev is one of the most acknowledged experts in national tax, financial, banking and administrative law.
