The gradual integration of Ukraine into the European Community requires a series of state reforms, in particular in the field of the inland water transport system.

As part of the work on these tasks during the period of November 2016 - June 2017, Jurimеx together with Royal Haskoning DHV, advised the World Bank on the development of transport infrastructure in the South of Ukraine in two projects:

- Preliminary assessment of possible models of private sector participation in the development of the Kherson Commercial Sea Port;

- Preliminary assessment of possible models of private sector participation in the development of the Lower Dnipro River.

Taking into account the relevant experience, Jurimex lawyers were invited to discuss this issue during a seminar organized by representatives of the European Union. Particularly, the discussion concerned the repair of locks and construction of navigation system on the main waterways.
