On May 22, 2013, the National Complex Expocenter of Ukraine hosted the conference on Registration of Rights to Land: New Rules for Agricultural business. Organizers are Legal practice together with the newspaper of Ukrainian agrarians Agroprofi with the partnership of Jurimex law firm.

Among the participants and speakers at the conference were judges of the Supreme Economic Court, elected officials of Ukraine, members of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Agrarian Policy and Land Relations, the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Taxation and Customs Policy, representatives of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, the Ministry of Income and Taxes of Ukraine, the State Agency for Land Resources, the Center for State Land Cadaster, representatives of sectoral public organizations, scientists, top managers and legal advisors of agricultural holdings and agricultural enterprises, lawyers, practicing lawyers.  The conference was divided into two sections; the first section covered the new rules for registration of rights to land, taking into account the specifics of agricultural purpose and reissue of lease agreements in the light of legislative changes.

Particular attention was paid to such issues as: the role and place of the registration service in the system of state authorities, judicial practice, and recognition of land lease agreements for agricultural purposes invalid, problems of registration of the right of lease of land plots. Oleksandr Shishkanov, partner of Jurimex law firm, spoke about the peculiarities of state registration of the right of lease on the land of state and communal property, as well as on recent legislative changes in this area. The second section was devoted to the problems of preservation of special tax regime for farmers and the necessity of approving land crop rotation projects.
