Senior lawyer and patent attorney of Jurimex Oksana Yefimchuk will be engaged in the development of amendments to the legislation on review of patent applications relating to medicinal products. Together with two other industry experts, Oksana won the contest held by the All-Ukrainian Network of People Living with HIV/AIDS.

The problem of poor quality and so-called "evergreen" patents in the pharmaceutical industry has received much attention in recent years worldwide. The rules for the review of patent applications that are used during the examination are being developed at the international and national levels. There is a lack of document which would balance the interests of patent holders and public health interests in Ukraine. Experts that won the above competition will address this issue.
