Recently there has been an active public discussion, in Ukraine on the draft new edition of the Law of Ukraine "On Television and Radio Broadcasting". Mykola Tomenko and Mykola Knyazhitskiy presented the draft law "On amendments to some laws of Ukraine on ensuring the transparency of the media ownership, as well as the implementation of the principles of state policy in the sphere of television and radio broadcasting". The draft law was prepared in cooperation with lawyers of Jurimex law firm, such as Danylo Getmantsev, Ll.D., Yuriy Krayniak, a lawyer and a specialist in the sphere of media law. According to the bill, the proposal was to ensure transparency of ownership of the media and the assignment of additional responsibilities to the National Council.
